Biography
Marcia left her small hometown in the Highlands of Scotland to immerse herself in London's music scene. It was in the big city that she found a true love for all things r&b. After years of studying music and honing her voice, she began turning her stories into beautifully crafted melodies and slightly savage lyrics.
Artists that Marcia frequtently listens to and feels inspired by include the likes of Kehlani, Kiana Ledé, Summer Waler, Queen Naija, Kalie Claire and Amy Winehouse.
Marcia Hopes that people who listen to her music will feel encouraged to embrace their own stories feel exactly how they feel.
Musical Background and Achievements
Marcia began piano lessons at the age of 7 and has achieved grade 6 ABRSM piano. She began singing lessons at school when she was 16 and passed her Scottish Higher and Advanced Higher Music exams with grade A.
She was awarded the 'Leslie Rose Music Award' for her year at the end of high school.
Marcia moved to London when she was 18 and studied Singing and Songwriting at Point Blank Music School.
She then went on to graduate from The Academy of Contemporary Music in London with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Professional Music Performance (Vocals).
